The Altai band ‘Bai Terek’ composed their most recent songs in the mountains, populated almost solely by shepherds. They conducted their album recording sessions at night, spending days dozing. The sounds of the steppe's – horses, wind, water – are a key part of their bizarre sonic compositions, all reproduced with their voices.
